R1 Pro First Stage

Description

A pony or stage cylinder on a warm-water trip does not need a heavy cold-water first stage with a turret, and every extra gram hangs off the diver's side for the whole dive. The R1 PRO keeps the job simple: a classic piston first stage in chrome-plated marine bronze, 515 g, with four LP ports, one HP port and a 9.5 bar intermediate pressure. Tecline certify it to EN 250 for water above 10 degrees, so it belongs on a tropical boat week or a summer shore dive rather than in a winter quarry. The DIN version takes 300 bar and sits neatly on a small bail-out cylinder clipped to a harness. The yoke version, rated to 230 bar, fits the INT valves found on many rental cylinders. A third version carries a DIN connection with an M26x2 thread for cylinders fitted with oxygen valves, and Tecline name the R1 PRO a stage regulator for warm water. It suits a warm-water diver building a light, simple stage or pony regulator.
