R4 TEC1 Regulator

Description

Airline baggage limits punish a heavy regulator, and a cold-water first stage is usually the heaviest part of the kit. The R4 TEC is Tecline's compact diaphragm first stage at 637 g, and this set pairs it with the TEC1, a light pneumatically balanced second stage with a venturi knob, a breathing resistance knob and a heat exchanger, both to EN 250A. The first stage has a dry chamber and cold kit, a 9.0 bar intermediate pressure and four LP and two HP ports on a short body. That suits a diver flying to a reef with a tight allowance, the same diver back home on a winter dive in a cold quarry, and later a stage cylinder, since Tecline rate the R4 TEC perfect for stages. Tecline do not recommend the R4 for sidemount. The set comes on a 0.70 m black Proflex hose in a red Tecline bag. Octopus and gauge are sold separately. It suits a travelling diver who wants a light regulator that still handles cold water.
