R4 TEC2 Semitec I Set

Description

A long-hose single tank rig adds a second stage and a longer hose, and the weight of the whole regulator starts to show on a flight or a long walk to a shore entry. Building the SemiTec I on the compact R4 TEC keeps it down: the first stage is Tecline's 637 g balanced diaphragm with a dry chamber and cold kit. It feeds two TEC2 second stages, pneumatically balanced with venturi and breathing resistance knobs, a heat exchanger and the direct flow system, the primary on a long hose for donation and the backup on a necklace, all to EN 250A. The with-SPG version lists a 52 mm pressure gauge, a 1.93 m and a 0.61 m black Proflex LP hose, a 0.60 m Proflex HP hose, two 88 mm bolt snaps and an oval Tecline bag. That fits a technical fundamentals course abroad, a cavern tour on a single cylinder and a cold-water quarry dive. It suits a single tank diver who wants a long-hose rig that stays light to carry.
