R5 Tec First Stage

Description

Where the ports sit on a first stage decides how cleanly the hoses fall away from the valve, and a poor layout leaves loops that snag on a wreck or a line. Tecline designed the R5 TEC around an optimised placement of its four LP and two HP ports, for divers who plan their rig down to the last hose. It is a balanced diaphragm first stage with a dry chamber and a cold kit, running at 9.0 bar intermediate pressure, in marine bronze with a black chrome finish that sets it apart from the silver of Tecline's other first stages. On a single cylinder for a cold-water wreck, or as the pair on a twinset for longer decompression dives, Tecline recommend it, and their table also lists stage use. It weighs 822 g, takes a DIN 300 bar connection and meets EN 250A for cold water. It suits an experienced diver who wants a black, tidy-routing first stage for single tank or twinset diving.
