Regulator Mouthpiece

Description

A mouthpiece wears out long before the regulator does: bite tabs split, the silicone hardens and the rim tears where a cable tie grips it. A fresh one makes an older second stage feel new in the mouth. Tecline's standard silicone mouthpiece comes with long or short bite tabs, in black or clear. The long tabs spread the bite further back for a diver who likes more to bite on during a long dive or a drift with a strong current. The short tabs suit a smaller mouth, or a backup second stage that is breathed only now and then. Black matches most regulators, while clear shows at a glance whether the inside is clean on a shared rental set. It fits a standard second stage mouthpiece neck and is secured with a cable tie. Fitting takes a minute; a new cable tie should be used each time. It suits a diver replacing a worn mouthpiece or setting up a spare for a trip.
