Side 16 Sidemount BCD

Description

A first sidemount rig has to be simple to set up, because the diver is still learning where every clip, bungee and weight belongs. The Side 16 is the original Tecline sidemount system, delivered pre-assembled with its hardware and bungees so only the harness fit needs adjusting. It gives 16 kg of lift, integrated weight pockets plus external pockets on the waist belt with room for up to 16 kg of lead, and an aluminium back plate. Tecline recommend a pair of 11.1 litre aluminium cylinders, which makes it a natural fit for a sidemount course in a quarry, a dive school's training kit, and a warm-water trip on hired aluminium tanks. The 33 cm K-type inflator mounts left or right, a quick-release valve handles venting, and five stainless steel D-rings and integrated shoulder pads complete the harness. It is rated for water between 1 and 40 degrees, and Tecline intend it for divers trained in sidemount. It suits a diver or school starting out in sidemount.
