Sidemount Back Pocket

Description

A sidemount diver's front is full of cylinder valves, regulators and hoses, which leaves little room for a spare mask or a buoy. Tecline's sidemount back pocket moves that storage onto the back of the harness, where it clips to the beavertail D-rings Tecline sell for it. It is a zipped black pouch with the Tecline logo. On a cave dive, it keeps a spare mask, a spool and a surface marker buoy behind the diver and clear of the cylinders. On a boat trip, it carries the items that would otherwise be clipped off and dangling. Reaching it underwater usually means unclipping it or asking a buddy, so it is for kit carried as backup rather than items needed often. The beavertail D-rings are sold separately. It suits a sidemount diver who needs extra storage without cluttering the front of the rig.
