Sidemount Weight Pockets

Description

Sidemount rigs carry their cylinders at the hips, which leaves the back clear and puts the question of where the lead goes back on the diver. Tecline's weight pockets for sidemount come as a pair, each with a side-release buckle, and Tecline include them in their recommended sidemount configuration alongside the SIDE 16 harness. On a warm-water sidemount course, they let an instructor adjust a student's weighting without adding a belt under the cylinder clips. In a cave with a drysuit, the pockets keep the ballast on the harness and away from the cylinder bands. Tecline do not publish a capacity figure for these pockets, so the weight carried should be checked against the rig during a weight check. It suits a sidemount diver who wants dedicated weight pockets instead of a belt.
