Description
Standard harness webbing is stiff enough to rub on bare shoulders or a thin rash vest, which is why Tecline also make a softer version. This soft webbing is 50 mm wide but only 1.2 mm thick, woven from soft knitted fibre in black with the grey Tecline E logo repeated along it, and it is sold by the metre. It is the webbing used on Tecline's soft E-logo DIR harnesses. For a warm-water diver building a DIR harness to wear over a rash vest, it is kinder on the skin. For a small diver, the thinner webbing bends more easily around a narrow frame. The cut ends need heat-sealing to stop fraying. It suits a diver making or rethreading a soft DIR harness.
