Description
Winding a long line back onto a finger spool by hand is slow work in dry gloves, and a small crank turns it into a quick job. Tecline's spool with winch is an 80 mm Delrin spool with a fold-out crank handle and white line, light and small enough to live in a pocket. The 15 m version suits a safety stop DSMB from a shallow reef dive. The 30 m version sends a DSMB up from recreational depths and winds back quickly during the ascent. On a cold-water dive in thick gloves the crank makes winding far easier than turning the spool with a finger. No snap is supplied, so a double-ender or bolt snap needs to be added. It suits a diver who wants a compact spool that winds in faster than a standard finger spool.
