Stage Rigging Kit with Rubber Bands

Description

Bungee stretches and frays with use, so many technical divers secure a stage cylinder's hose with wide rubber bands that are quick to fit and simple to replace. This version of Tecline's stage rigging kit pairs a stainless worm-drive band in a webbing sleeve and a leash with two 120 mm stainless bolt snaps with two Tecline rubber bands that have fabric pull tabs. On a trimix dive carrying two stages, the bands keep each regulator and hose pinned to its own cylinder until the gas switch. On a wreck dive in current, the hose stays against the cylinder instead of trailing where it can snag. The thick tube on the leash lets a gloved finger lift the band to stow or free the second stage. Tecline advises carrying the cylinder by its valve rather than by the rigging. Kits are made for 5.7 L, 7 L, and 10 or 11.1 L cylinders. It suits a diver setting up stage or deco cylinders who wants rubber bands rather than bungee.
