Stainless Steel Single Tank Adapter

Description

On a cold-water single-cylinder rig, a steel adapter adds a little extra weight where it helps, on the back and close to the cylinder. Tecline make their stainless steel single tank adapter in two versions: a light version of 7 by 35 cm and 445 g, and the standard 3 mm version of 7 by 36 cm and 670 g, both with screws. It sits between the backplate and the bands and keeps a single cylinder from rolling. For a drysuit diver on an aluminium cylinder, the heavier version adds useful weight on the spine. For a diver who wants steel without much weight, the 445 g version is the lighter choice. Screws, wing nuts and washers come with the adapter, and tank bands are sold separately. It suits a single-cylinder backplate diver who prefers a stainless adapter.
