This Tecline set pairs a standard-shape titanium backplate, 2 mm thick and listed by Tecline at 0.82 kg, with a matching titanium single tank adapter of 7 by 30.5 cm and 223 g, fixed with titanium screws. For a diver who travels to most dives, the set gives a complete single-cylinder base at a little over a kilogram. In salt water week after week on a liveaboard, titanium resists corrosion without special care beyond a rinse. At home the adapter comes off for twinset diving and the plate carries on. Harness, wing and tank bands are sold separately. It suits a travelling diver who wants a durable, light plate and adapter from one maker.
