Twinset Tank Band

Description

A twinset only stays square and tight if its bands match the cylinder diameter and the manifold spacing, so the band size has to be chosen before anything is bolted together. Tecline's stainless steel twinset bands are 60 mm wide and made for cylinders of 140, 171 or 203 mm diameter. The 140 mm band is spaced for a wide manifold with 171 mm centres. The 171 mm size fits the common 12 litre and 15 litre steel twins, while the 203 mm band suits larger-diameter cylinders. Each band clamps both cylinders and bolts to the backplate, so a twinset needs two. Screws and thumbwheels are sold separately, and the bands should be matched to the manifold before assembly. It suits a diver building or rebuilding a steel or aluminium twinset.
