Valve Cover

Description

Cylinders spend more time in boat racks, car boots and storerooms than underwater, and the valve outlet takes the knocks and dirt along the way. This Tecline cover slips over a DIN valve outlet and ties on with its cord, so it stays with the cylinder when removed. It comes in black rubber or black plastic. A diver loading cylinders into a vehicle for a long drive to an inland site keeps road dust off the outlet. On a liveaboard where cylinders are refilled on deck, the cover shows at a glance which outlets are closed up. A club storing its cylinders through the off-season keeps insects and dust out of the outlets. It is a cover rather than a seal, so the valve must be closed before it goes on. It suits a diver who wants a cheap, simple cover on every cylinder.
