Description
A sapphire window is the difference between a computer that still looks new after five seasons and one that is read through a haze of scratches, and the Teric is the only Shearwater that has one. Behind it sits a 1.39 inch AMOLED at 400 by 400 in a case 54.5 millimetres across weighing 120 grams. On a closed circuit dive it runs fixed setpoint with bailout across five open and five closed circuit gases to 200 metres. On a recreational reef dive it reads pressure from up to four transmitters and holds a tilt compensated compass. On a freediving session the dedicated mode switches the whole computer over, and topside it is a watch with 50 hours of standby. It is the only Shearwater with audible alarms as well as vibration, which some divers want and others switch off. It suits a diver who dives across disciplines and wants one computer for all of them, and the Remora Band Colour Strap Kit is how most owners make it theirs.
