SPG Swivel Pin

Description

The small brass swivel between an HP hose and a pressure gauge is what lets the gauge turn freely without twisting the hose, and its o-rings are what seal the joint at full cylinder pressure. When a gauge starts to weep at the hose end or turns stiffly, the swivel pin is usually the culprit. This Termo Industria pin is brass, 18 mm long and 4.25 mm across the sealing section, fitted with Viton o-rings. Replacing it cures a slow bubble stream at the console on a buddy check, frees a gauge that no longer swivels after salt has crept into the joint, and is part of fitting a new gauge to an existing hose. The pin and o-rings are small and easily damaged on assembly, so fitting is a job for a trained technician, followed by a leak check at pressure. It suits a diver or centre maintaining analogue gauges and consoles.
