TERN TX
The Shearwater Tern TX is the air-integrated version of Shearwater's compact watch-style dive computer, built for sport and recreational divers who want wireless gas monitoring in a small form factor. It connects to up to four Swift transmitters, displaying real-time tank pressure data alongside standard dive metrics on a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen with toughened glass. Depth rated to 120m, the Tern TX is tested to EN engineering standards for dive computer compliance.
The computer supports five dive modes: Air, Nitrox, 3-Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freedive. It does not include mixed-gas technical or closed-circuit rebreather modes, which remain the domain of the Perdix 2, Teric, and Petrel 3. Charging is via USB-C wireless induction, with a rated battery life of up to 20 hours of dive time per charge. The unit includes a customisable vibration alert system and Bluetooth connectivity for dive log syncing through the Shearwater Cloud app, and it ships with Remora quick-connect bands and webbing straps for tool-free strap changes.
The Tern TX differs from the base Tern in two respects: transmitter compatibility and the addition of a built-in digital compass for underwater navigation. Both models share the same display, dive modes, depth rating, and charging system. Divers who don't need wireless air integration or a compass can save cost with the standard Tern. As with the base model, the Tern TX is positioned for recreational and entry-level diving; divers planning to move into full technical or CCR diving should consider the Teric, Perdix 2, or Petrel 3 instead.

Is the scuba gear you sell covered by a warranty?
Yes, all the scuba gear we sell is covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period varies depending on the brand and product. If you experience a warranty issue, please contact our customer support team with your order number, details of the issue and any supporting photos or videos. We will then guide you through the warranty claim process.

What are your shipping costs and delivery times within South Africa?
We offer straightforward shipping within South Africa. For all orders under R1000, a flat rate of R150 will be applied. The good news is that shipping is free for all orders of R1000 or more! For major cities, we aim for delivery within 2-3 business days after your order has been processed and shipped. Please note that outlying areas may take slightly longer.
