Thermocline Fin Socks

Description

A full-foot fin worn on bare skin rubs the heel and the top of the foot raw over a long snorkel or a day of tropical diving. These are lining socks rather than thermal ones, and friction is the entire problem they solve. Cut low at the ankle from the Thermocline laminate, they sit inside a full-foot fin pocket or a neoprene boot without changing the fit, which is the failure most divers hit when they try to solve the same problem with a thicker sock. The smooth face lets the fin slide on and off rather than gripping wet skin, and it puts a barrier between skin and neoprene, useful for anyone who reacts to it. Six UK sizes run 3-4 through 13-14, black throughout, suiting full-foot fins and low-cut shoes such as the Rock Hopper. For warmth rather than friction, Xerotherm, Arctic and Hotfoot Pro socks all carry far more insulation. It suits a diver or snorkeller in full-foot fins.
