Description

The Titan is the regulator dive centres buy by the dozen, and the reasons are unglamorous and sound. Its first stage weighs 690 g in yoke and 460 g in DIN, the lightest in the Aqua Lung line, and the whole unit is built around parts a technician can service quickly and cheaply. Work of breathing is 1.0 joules per litre through a balanced second stage, so delivery stays consistent as the cylinder empties rather than stiffening towards the end of a dive. Two high pressure and four medium pressure ports in a T layout take a console, an octopus and a drysuit hose without compromise. That answers a rental fleet turned over every day, a club set that a different person uses each week, and a first regulator bought while a diver works out what they actually want. It suits a diver or a centre buying reliability rather than performance figures.
