SCUBAPRO TK-15 Knife

Description

Blade, tang and pommel are machined from one piece of marine-grade stainless, so the steel keeps its thickness end to end, and that is where the stiffness to lever, pry and saw comes from. The blade measures 15 centimetres and the knife 29 overall. A smooth lower edge does the slicing and a serrated upper edge sits close to the handle, where a cut is best controlled, with a shackle key and a line cutter worked into the blade. The polished surface sheds water and resists oxidation. The heavy-duty handle is fixed with stainless screws and sized for gloves, its recesses mating with teeth inside the sheath so the knife seats firmly through a shore entry. A red tab under the Velcro leg strap keeps the sheath on the leg when the knife is pulled, which is the moment a poorly strapped sheath comes away with it. The sheath is fibreglass-reinforced polyamide on nylon leg straps. Special order. It suits a technical or working diver wanting a heavy tool.
