Description

Blocks that migrate to the front of a weight belt pull a diver head-down at the safety stop, which is where trim is worth the most. Threading one of these either side of each block stops that drift for the price of a small part. It is a three-slot webbing keeper for 50 millimetre harness webbing, and its smooth bar is the detail that sets it apart: webbing pulls through without being abraded, so a harness can be reset as often as needed. Three slots let the webbing weave over, under and back, enough friction to lock a ballast block or fix a D-ring on a waist strap, and the same part anchors a loose webbing tail so it stops flapping against the cylinder. The 50 millimetre width suits standard backplate and wing harness webbing. It is sold singly, so a belt carrying three blocks takes six. No tools are needed, but the webbing has to be unthreaded, making it a bench job rather than a boat one. It suits a diver locking ballast or light hardware on webbing.
