Ultralight Plate WTXD

Description

Some divers want the discipline of a backplate and wing but have no use at all for the ballast a metal plate carries, particularly in a warm sea with an aluminium cylinder and a shorty. The Ultralight Travel Plate is built for exactly that. On a travel trip it is the lightest way to keep a familiar harness configuration in the bag. On a warm water dive it removes ballast the diver would otherwise have to offset with more lift. Paired with the WTX-D18 donut wing it makes a genuinely light and streamlined rig. It accepts the SureLock weight system when the SureLock attachment plates are fitted, so weight can still be carried and ditched if the dive calls for it. It requires the Deluxe one piece webbed harness, which is bought separately. It suits a travelling diver who wants the configuration without the metal.
