UPF 50 Graphite Steamer Mens

Description

Sunblock washes off and stings a mask seal; a full-body nylon suit does not. This is the men's version, cut for coverage instead of insulation, rated UPF 50 to block 98 percent of ultraviolet radiation at the surface. The fabric is a high quality nylon cut close, so the suit adds no bulk under a wetsuit and no drag worn alone, and coverage runs from neck to wrist and ankle, removing the bare skin that hydroids and jellyfish find at depth. Under a 5 millimetre wetsuit it works as a slip layer, so the suit goes on over dry fabric without the fight that follows a swim. Thumb loops at the wrist and stirrups under the foot anchor it while a second layer is pulled over the top, and it closes with a YKK back zip. Five sizes run S to 2XL in graphite. This is sun and sting protection carrying no thermal rating, so cool water calls for neoprene over it or in place of it. It suits a man diving, snorkelling or swimming in warm water.
