Valve Protection Cap (Soft)

Description

Anything that gets into an open cylinder valve outlet ends up inside the next first stage fitted to it, and a cap costs a fraction of the service call that saves. Cylinders live on decks, in racks and in the back of a bakkie, and this soft moulded cap is what stands between the outlet and the spray, dust and sand around it. It pushes on by hand rather than threading in, so no key or tool is needed, and it covers the outlet face, which is the surface a first stage seals against. A capped cylinder in a rack also reads at a glance as one that has been shut down and drained. One point to be plain about: this is a dust cap, not a pressure seal. It does nothing on a charged cylinder and is no substitute for closing the valve. DIN and INT conversion is a separate part. It suits anyone storing or transporting cylinders without regulators fitted.
