Description
A light head is bought for one of two reasons and both are practical: something went wrong with the original, or a spare is wanted in the kit box for the trip where a failure costs dives rather than an evening. This is the VL4600P head assembly on its own, the LED, optics, electronics and switch in a plain box, with no battery, charger, lanyard or dry bag, which is why it costs a fraction of the complete light. It is available in glossy black, glossy blue and glossy pink, so a replacement can be matched to a body already owned or deliberately contrasted to tell two identical lights apart on a boat rail. The VL4600PB head adds a built-in blue LED for fluorescence work. It suits a videographer keeping a VL4600P running.
