VX2 DIVE MASK

Description

A mask frame is the part that fails first, usually where thin plastic meets a boat deck, and the VX2 answers that with a stainless steel outer frame over a carbon fibre filled inner frame. It is built to be sat on. The payoff beyond durability is sightline: the VX2 gives 13 percent more field of vision than the VX1, which is the difference between seeing a buddy in peripheral vision and having to turn the head. On a technical dive with a stage cylinder clipped at the hip, that wider view means the diver reads gauges and clips without breaking trim. On a cold water dive the skirt combines matt and gloss silicone areas so it seals on a face that is not relaxed. On a shore entry through surf the frame survives what a frameless mask would not. Lenses are user swappable, and the quick release buckles adjust with dry gloves on. It suits a technical or cold water diver who wants a mask that lasts, and it pairs with the RK3 HD fins in the dive set.
