WeeFine High-Density Buoyancy Block

Description

Every light and arm on a camera rig adds weight in the water, and a heavy rig tires the wrist and makes smooth footage harder to keep steady. WeeFine's high-density blocks are rings of pressure-resistant foam with a 25 mm centre hole that slides over a standard ball arm, so lift can be added in small steps close to where the weight sits. Three sizes are offered: 105 g of buoyancy from a 70 x 40 mm block, 195 g from 90 x 40 mm and 310 g from 90 x 65 mm, all rated to 60 m. The foam is made to resist compression and repel water, so it keeps its shape through repeated dives. On a two-light video rig a pair on each arm brings the set close to neutral, on a compact macro setup a single small block trims a nose-heavy port, and on a travel rig they stand in for bulkier float arms. It suits a photographer fine-tuning the trim of a camera rig.
