Hot Shoe Base

Description

The accessory shoe on top of most housings is an under-used mounting point that sits right above the lens. WeeFine's hot shoe bases slide into that shoe and give it a fitting for lighting: one version carries a ball for a standard clamp and arm, the other a YS mount that takes a light or strobe with a YS foot directly. With a focus light up there, the beam lines up with the lens axis, and a short arm on the ball version lets a light lean forward over the port. On a macro dive the YS base puts a focus light straight over the subject, on a video dive the ball base carries a short arm and a compact light, and on a travel rig either base saves an extra tray arm. Both are small enough to leave fitted between dives. It suits a photographer who wants a light mounted on top of the housing.
