Magnetic Lens Adapter

Description

Screwing a wet lens on and off a port underwater is slow, and a crossed thread or trapped air bubble can cost the shot. WeeFine's magnetic adapters replace the thread with a magnetic mount: the housing side screws onto the port and stays there, the lens side screws onto the wet lens, and the two snap together and pull apart in a second. They are made in anodised aluminium for 52 mm and 67 mm threads, and each part is sold alone or as a pair, so every lens in a kit can carry its own lens side. The low profile adds little length between port and lens. On a macro dive a close-up lens goes on and off between subjects, on a mixed dive a wide-angle and a close-up lens swap without fumbling, and on a boat day the port thread is spared repeated wear. It suits a photographer who swaps wet lenses often underwater.
