Ring Light 3000 CCW Macro Light

Description

Shooting at extreme magnification with a wet diopter can put the port within a couple of centimetres of the subject, where arm-mounted lights struggle to reach. For that range the Ring Light 3000 CCW switches to a dedicated close-up unit giving 1000 lumens at 5000 K with a colour rendering index above 95, aimed at subjects from about 25 mm off the port. Its main ring gives 1800 lumens for video and 3000 lumens in strobe mode, and the colour temperature can be set anywhere from 3500 K to 8000 K to suit ambient light or a white balance setting. On a muck dive it lights super-macro subjects at close range, on a reef it balances warm or cool tones for video, and for stills it works as a ring strobe over a fibre-optic cable. A knob gives 19 brightness steps, and the 26650 cell charges over USB-C and lasts about 45 minutes. It screws onto an M67 thread and is rated to 100 m. It suits a macro shooter working at extreme close range.
