Smart Focus 7000 Video Light

Description

Carrying a separate strobe and video light doubles the arms, clamps and batteries on a rig. The Smart Focus 7000 puts out 7000 lumens of 5700 K light for video and, once strobe mode is switched on, fires when it receives the camera flash signal through a fibre-optic cable, then returns to its previous setting a moment later. White, red, blue and a red and blue mix are available in both modes. In a temperate kelp forest it lights a broad scene across its 100 degree beam, on a macro dive the focus function lets it act as an aiming light that switches off as the flash fires, and on a night dive the coloured channels give a different look to familiar subjects. A 50.32 Wh four-cell pack gives about 50 minutes at full output, an LED screen shows the setting, and overheating protection drops the output to 20% if the head gets too hot. It weighs 575 g on land. It suits a diver who shoots video and stills on the same dive.
