Solar Flare 13000 Video Light

Description

A large video light carries a lot of battery and electronics, so confirming the seals before a dive is worth the extra minute on the boat. The Solar Flare 13000 is built for that check, with a vacuum system as a standard part: a hand pump and connecting cylinder come in the box to test the head before it gets wet. It puts out 13000 lumens at 5600 K with a colour rendering index of 90 across a 150 degree beam. For wide-angle reef video it covers a broad frame, on a deep wreck it lights large structures, and with a fibre-optic cable it doubles as a strobe for stills. Two push buttons with a battery level meter set five steps from 100 to 20% plus a 300 lumen setting. The eight-cell 6800 mAh pack gives about 60 minutes at full flood and charges in about four hours. It weighs 1100 g on land and 665 g in water and is rated to 100 m. It suits a videographer who wants maximum output and a pre-dive vacuum check.
