Solar Flare 7000S Video Light

Description

Lighting a large subject from close range needs a beam wide enough to wrap round it, and most lights that wide give up output to get there. The Solar Flare 7000s spreads 7000 lumens of 5700 K light from a COB emitter through a transparent dome across 150 degrees, and in strobe mode it reaches 8000 lumens with a colour rendering index of 95. On a shipwreck it covers a broad section of hull in one frame, in a cavern entrance it spreads light across the rock without a hard edge, and for stills the strobe mode fires from the camera signal over a fibre-optic cable. An LED screen shows the settings, and a stainless steel button with an aluminium knob runs the modes. The four-cell 50.32 Wh pack gives about 50 minutes at full flood, and remote control is supported. The light weighs 548 g on land and 215 g in water and is rated to 100 m. It suits a wide-angle shooter who wants a compact light with an extra-wide beam.
