Description

Framing video on a small camera screen behind a housing window is hard with the rig held at arm's length. The WED-7 PRO is a waterproof HDMI monitor with its own sealed body, so it needs no separate housing: a 1920 x 1200 IPS touch screen of about 178 mm diagonal, with 500 cd/m2 LED backlighting, fed from a mirrorless camera or any camera with live HDMI output. Two 3400 mAh 18650 cells give up to about three hours of use, HDMI in and out connections let the signal pass on, and a ball mount lets the screen tilt to the right viewing angle. On a video dive it shows focus and framing clearly on a wide shot, on a macro dive it makes fine focus easier to judge, and with the camera on a tripod or pole it shows the frame from a comfortable position. It is rated to 80 m, measures 198 x 132 x 39 mm and weighs 1230 g on land. It suits a videographer who wants a large, bright screen on a mirrorless rig.
