WeeFine WFA40 Optical Condenser M47

Description

Tightening a light's beam into a smaller, brighter circle helps pick a macro subject out of a dark background without lighting everything around it. The WFA40 is WeeFine's optical condenser with an M47 thread: a black tube with a condensing lens at the front that gathers a light's wide beam into a narrower one. It screws on and off in seconds, so it can be fitted for a macro dive and removed again for general lighting. WeeFine does not publish which lights carry the M47 thread, or the beam angle, size and weight, so the fit should be confirmed against the light before buying. On a macro dive it concentrates light onto a small subject, on a night dive it narrows the beam to one detail, and in a snoot setup it is the optical front end that shapes the spot. It suits an owner of a WeeFine light with an M47 front thread who wants a tighter beam.
