WFH07X Smartphone Housing

Description

A phone's touchscreen stops working once it is wet, so a dive housing has to replace it with buttons and an app. The WFH07X does that with five buttons and a Bluetooth link to WeeFine's free DiveIT app, which handles photos, video, playback, a compass and a dive log, and shows depth and water temperature from sensors built into the housing. Before the dive a built-in electric pump draws a vacuum, charged over USB-C, and the app warns if it detects a leak risk. It fits phones up to 163.5 x 82 x 10.6 mm with a camera bump of up to 7 mm. On a holiday reef dive it turns a phone into a camera rated to 80 m, on a snorkel it records the shallows through the same app, and with a WeeFine video light it fires the light in strobe mode through the optical port. The body weighs 100 g in water. It suits a diver who wants to shoot with the phone already in the pocket.
