WFL02X Wide Angle Wet Lens

Description

Close-focus wide-angle, where a subject fills the foreground with the reef stretching behind it, needs a far wider view than a housing's flat port allows. The WFL02X takes a compact's 24 mm lens to 150 degrees at 0.47x, and a 28 mm lens to 127 degrees, through an M67 thread that can be fitted and removed underwater. Five elements in five groups sit behind a polycarbonate dome with a water-repellent coating, in a Type II anodised aluminium body. On a reef it puts a coral head and the diver behind it in one frame, on a wreck it records a bow section from a few metres away, and in a cavern entrance it takes in the light and the rock together. It weighs 690 g in air and 255 g in water and is rated to 60 m. It suits a compact camera shooter with an M67 port who wants true ultra-wide shots.
