WeeFine WFL15 Close-Up Wet Lens

Description

Action cameras are built for wide scenes, and their fixed ultra-wide lenses cannot focus close enough to fill the frame with something small. The WFL15 screws onto an M67 lens mount on the housing and adds +15 dioptres, pulling the focus in to between 52 and 80 mm so a GoPro, DJI or Insta360 can record small subjects at a useful size. Its three-element achromatic optic uses optical glass with a multi-layer BBAR coating to limit flare, set in a Type II anodised aluminium barrel. On a muck dive it turns an action camera into a macro tool, on a reef it records small subjects in short clips, and for a snorkeller in a shallow bay it adds close-up footage without a second camera. It is designed for sensors up to the 1-type format, weighs 380 g in air and 245 g in water, and is rated to 60 m. It suits an action camera user who wants macro shots in the same kit.
