Weight S-TEK Fin (Set)

Description

Rising feet through a safety stop have a mechanical fix, not a finning one. Lead moved off a belt and into the blades drops the feet without changing total ballast, which is the correction an aluminium cylinder and a drysuit tend to call for, and it puts the adjustment at the far end of the diver instead of at the waist. These are the stainless steel plates that drop into a Modular Fin System blade to do it. An S-TEK blade is slightly positively buoyant as moulded; one plate per fin brings it to neutral and two make it slightly negative. The plates sit in the blade rather than on the foot pocket. Two sizes match the two blade sizes, Midi for XS, S and M and Maxi for L and XL, and they are not interchangeable, so the order follows the blade rather than the foot. Rinse them in fresh water in place after salt. Silt-sensitive wreck work is better served by leaving them out. It suits a diver correcting feet-up trim.
