SCUBAPRO Wrist Strap Chromis PU (Black)

Description

A band gone hard, split at a buckle hole or no longer holding its set length is the part most likely to put a working computer on the bottom, and it costs a fraction of the instrument it carries. This is the factory replacement for the Chromis, moulded in black polyurethane, a material that keeps its flexibility at Cape water temperatures where a harder compound stiffens and splits around the holes. SCUBAPRO also list it in orange and lime, so a Chromis can be rebuilt in a different colour rather than the original. The band takes the load every time the computer is fastened over a wetsuit sleeve, which is why it wears out before anything else does. Fitting takes minutes on a bench with a spring bar tool, and a spare in the kit bag turns a trip-ending failure into an evening job. It fits the Chromis alone, since the Mantis, Meridian and Aladin bodies each take a different band. It suits a Chromis owner replacing a worn strap.
