Description

On a steel bracelet an A1 or a G3 reads as a watch rather than as instrumentation, which is how a dive computer earns wrist time on the days it stays dry, with the logbook staying on the same arm. This is that bracelet: 17 stainless steel links and a metal clasp finished in grey, PVD coated on the outside for corrosion resistance and a degree of scratch resistance. Sizing is done by removing links instead of moving a buckle, so a fit is set once and holds. The trade-off is thickness, because a link bracelet does not sit well over a 5 mm wetsuit sleeve, which is why a rubber band still belongs in the kit bag for the water. SCUBAPRO also list silicone, rubber and nylon versions for the same three computers, all on metal IP-coated buckles, so one instrument wears a bracelet topside and a dive strap underneath. Fitment covers the A1, A2 and G3 and nothing else. It suits an owner who wears the computer daily.
