Description

Hand signals cover about twenty things and a dive throws up a hundred, which is why the useful conversations underwater happen in writing. A slate settles the ones that matter: a change of plan, a gas figure, a fault with someone's kit, a bearing back to the exit. For an instructor it is more than convenience, since a correction that cannot be made at depth has to wait until the surface, by which time the dive is over. It is also the sensible place to write a dive plan before entering the water, so the figures are read rather than remembered. This one is white, which is what gives the contrast to read pencil at depth where colour is gone. Cressi publish no dimensions or mounting detail for it, so nothing further is claimed here.
