Apeks WTX-D30 + SS Plate Assembled

Description

A stainless backplate is worn ballast rather than dead weight on a belt, and that is the argument for choosing it over aluminium. It carries roughly two kilos on the spine where it helps trim, so the weight belt gets lighter by the same amount. This is the complete WTX-D30 system on that plate, with the Deluxe webbed harness, its stainless hardware kit, two Griplock tank bands and two book screws, supplied assembled. On a cold water dive in a drysuit the extra ballast offsets a thick undersuit. On a dive with an aluminium cylinder that floats at the end it holds the diver down for a safety stop. On a first backplate purchase it removes the parts matching entirely. It suits a cold water or drysuit diver who wants ballast carried on the back, and the aluminium version is the travel option.
