Apeks WTX-D40 + Alu Plate Assembled

Description

A larger cylinder and a thicker suit need more lift than a 30 lb wing gives, and the D40 is where a single cylinder rig stops being marginal. This is the complete system: the WTX-D40 wing on an aluminium backplate with the Deluxe webbed harness, stainless steel hardware, two Griplock tank bands and two book screws, supplied assembled. On a travel trip the aluminium plate saves roughly a kilo and a half against stainless. On a dive with a 15 litre steel cylinder the 40 lbs of lift carries it comfortably. On a shore dive the K style inflator sits off centre so it does not foul the first stage while kitting up. Two drain grommets and a mesh panel empty it on the boat. It suits a diver on a larger cylinder who still wants a light plate for travel.
