XDEEP 3D Mesh Padding

Description

Neoprene padding on a backplate soaks up water, holds it for the rest of the trip and grows heavier every day of a liveaboard. This open microfibre 3D mesh does the opposite: it drains as the kit comes out of the water and dries between dives, so the bag going home weighs roughly what it did on the way out. Structurally it does not compress at depth either, so the buoyancy of the rig stays where it was set at 5 m and at 40 m rather than shifting through the dive. It threads onto existing 50 mm webbing with no extra hardware, and it comes as a backplate pad alone, shoulder pads alone, or the full set, so an existing rig can be part-upgraded. The NX bottom backplate pad is a separate item, sized to the NX plate. It suits a diver adding comfort to a bare plate without adding water weight.
