XDEEP Butt Plate for Steel Tanks

Description

Divers who move from aluminium cylinders to steel often find the back of the rig has started to sag, and it is rarely the wing at fault. Steel hangs heavy at the tail, and on a Stealth 2.0 the rear bungees then have nothing solid to pull against. They load the webbing instead, which drags the harness out of shape and takes the cylinder position and the D-rings with it. This plate gives those bungees a rigid anchor so the geometry holds. It earns its place in a few specific situations: steel twelves on a cold water dive, a cave diver carrying stages behind the hips, and anyone whose rig sat correctly on aluminium and stopped doing so after a cylinder change. It bolts to the existing rail and takes the standard hardware, so nothing is unthreaded and nothing is rebuilt. It suits a sidemount diver running steel cylinders, and only that diver. On aluminium the tail floats up rather than down and there is nothing here to correct.
