Description

When an inflator starts misbehaving, working out which part of it has failed is rarely worth the evening it takes. This is the whole assembly, head and hose and fittings together, so the entire path from the low-pressure hose to the bladder is replaced in one go. It is the sensible choice in three situations: a wing that has done several seasons and is due everything at once, a second-hand rig of unknown history, and the night before a trip when there is no time to diagnose anything. The head is the common K-type on a standard low-pressure fitting, so any first stage with a free LP port will drive it, and on the NX wings the compact head is part of what keeps cylinder valves reachable. It suits a diver replacing rather than servicing. Three hose lengths are stocked, so measure the one coming off before ordering rather than guessing from the wing.
