DSMB Inflator End-Part

Description

Small metal parts on a DSMB go missing on the boat, not in the water, usually while the buoy is being rolled up in a hurry between dives. This is the end fitting from the mouth end of the oral inflation tube, and without it the tube will not seal, which turns a working marker into a bag that deflates on the surface. Replacing the fitting costs a fraction of replacing the buoy and takes a minute at a bench. It fits XDEEP DSMBs using the standard oral inflation tube. Anyone diving a marker regularly is well served keeping one in the save-a-dive box alongside the o-rings and mouthpieces, because this particular fault is only ever discovered at the point of use. It suits a diver repairing a DSMB rather than buying another one.
