Description

Rubber fins go soft in warm water and stiff in cold, which means a fin chosen in the Red Sea behaves differently on a winter shore dive at home. The EX1 blade is an advanced techno-polymer instead, and its stiffness does not change with water or air temperature, so the kick loads the same everywhere. Three stiffnesses cover the range: soft for a fast, light cadence, medium for general use, and hard for pushing a twinset or a scooter into current. The jet-style blade vents to reduce the load on the ankle, and the two-phase foot pocket uses a softer compound at the entry so a drysuit boot or rock boot goes in without a fight. Stainless steel spring straps are fitted as standard. Sizes are L and XL, cut open-heel for a boot rather than for bare feet. They suit a technical or drysuit diver.
